But these studios are home to Australia’s latest fitness craze, and it seems to be delivering some serious results to people all around the world.Launched in 2014, the combines (HIIT), circuit training, and functional training into 27 different 45-minute workouts over the course of eight weeks to burn fat and build muscle. There are four challenges per year, and the current challenge is underway, going from July 24 to September 17.reported on nine Australians who have credited their total-body transformations to F45, including the female global winner of the last challenge, Lisa Young. The 25-year-old lost about 14 pounds by upping her amount of classes from about four times a week to almost every day, and following the program’s meal plan—two weeks of detoxing, four weeks on a high-protein diet, and two weeks on a high-fat diet—designed to help get rid of water retention, nix sugar cravings, and build muscle.Another participant, the men’s global winner, dropped 23 pounds, and credits the support network of the challenge to his transformation.
